OAS is so much more than just a SCADA solution. It is an entire suite of packages.

We use it for Data Historian. It offers connections to every kind of database and even CSV files if you need that. You can build your query statements with OAS tags and dynamically populate them with information read from PLC's. With the Recipes feature you can read information from a database and write it to the PLC. You can easily build SCADA screens with the OAS Open UI Engines No-code UI Builder. Features are simple drag and drop to build displays. If you need more complex features, you can integrate with .NET and REST API's. It also offers notifications via text messages and Email. Voice messaging is available thru a Twillio account.

I've worked in the industry for over 30 years and being able to discuss issues/feature request with the development team is unheard of. OAS is my go to SCADA software. OAS allows my company to create custom SCADA applications for the Water/Waste Water Industries. OAS allows us to create amazing graphics using VB.NET and Blend that are the best in the industry. Reporting is very easy to implement which most SCADA packages struggle to provide. OAS device drivers all work flawlessly so additional 3rd party drivers are not required.

It provides easy preconfigured access to all standard automation systems as well as great IOT support. Our application required Modbus, Bacnet, MQTT, and standard HTTP and API access. We have used Open Automation software solutions for a variety of projects from SCADA to HMI with custom gauges to data logging with custom report generation. They have always responded very quickly to questions. You don’t get that from any other software provider. The product offering is solid and very scalable. You can start out inexpensively with just collecting your data and archiving it in an open data base format. Add additional features as you deem necessary. Their tag pricing is flexible and reasonable in cost. You can connect unlimited clients to the server, no additional charge to access your data. They have a good set of fast device drivers for the major PLCs, along with connection to OPC and OPC UA data servers. There is an alarm notification feature for texting, emailing, and voice messaging.
